Applications:

Electronics and Dielectric Materials:

Capacitors and Dielectric Resonators: Due to its high dielectric constant, SrTiO₃ nanoparticles are used in capacitors, dielectric resonators, and varistors in electronic circuits, especially for miniaturized and high-frequency devices.

Insulating Layers: SrTiO₃ is used as an insulating layer in thin-film transistors (TFTs) and other electronic devices, as it helps in stabilizing and protecting the active components from electrical interference.

Photocatalysis and Solar Cells:

Photocatalytic Degradation: SrTiO₃ nanoparticles are used in environmental applications like water purification and pollutant degradation. They exhibit photocatalytic properties when exposed to UV light, enabling the breakdown of organic contaminants and the treatment of wastewater.

Solar Energy Conversion: SrTiO₃ is explored as a photocatalyst in solar cells, photoelectrochemical cells, and hydrogen production from water splitting. Its semiconducting and photocatalytic properties make it a good candidate for sustainable energy applications.

Ferroelectric and Memory Devices:

Non-volatile Memory: Due to its ferroelectric properties, SrTiO₃ is used in the development of non-volatile ferroelectric memory devices (FeRAM) that store information by using the polarization of the material.

Sensors and Actuators: Strontium Titanate nanoparticles are used in sensors and actuators, where the change in polarization in response to external stimuli (such as an electric field) can be detected and used in microsensors for motion sensing, pressure sensing, and biosensing.

Magnetic Materials and Devices:

Magnetic Storage: SrTiO₃ nanoparticles, when doped with certain transition metals, can exhibit magnetic properties. These materials are explored for use in data storage devices, magnetic memory, and magnetic field sensors.
