Erbium Oxide ( Er2O3 ) Powder Applications
- Coatings Like many materials, one of the key uses of erbium oxide in particle form is in the production of specialized coatings. Some high-temperature corrosion-resistant coatings benefit greatly from the inclusion of erbium oxide particles in their composition.
Sample Dispersed in glass or plastic, erbium oxide can be used to produce screens such as computer monitors and televisions.
Optics. The erbium oxide particles can be used as dopants in the production of various optical fibers and laser materials.
Up-conversion. This can be used to produce upconversion materials.
Isolation. The erbium oxide can be used as an insulator tuned for the production of Josephson junctions.
E. Some metal oxide semiconductor transistors and capacitors may use this material.
Medicine. Like many particles, erbium oxide is interesting for its potential in bioimaging. It is modified on the surface and distributed in aqueous and non-aqueous solutions for this purpose. In a broader sense, erbium oxide is considered to be one of the most important and promising rare earth materials in biomedicine.
