Magnetic and Spintronic Devices:

Magnetic Sensors: Due to their ferromagnetic properties, nickel oxide nanofibers can be utilized in magnetic sensors for detecting changes in magnetic fields. These sensors have applications in data storage, position sensing, and navigation systems.

Spintronic Devices: Nickel oxide nanofibers can be explored for use in spintronic devices, where the spin of electrons is manipulated for data storage or information processing. These applications leverage the unique magnetic and electronic properties of NiO nanofibers to develop faster, more efficient devices in the field of quantum computing and advanced electronics.

Environmental Remediation:

Heavy Metal Ion Removal: Nickel oxide nanofibers can be used for the removal of heavy metal ions from water, including lead (Pb²⁺), cadmium (Cd²⁺), and copper (Cu²⁺). Their high surface area and affinity for metal ions make them effective for use in water treatment and environmental decontamination.

CO₂ Capture: NiO nanofibers are also being studied for use in carbon capture technologies, where they can adsorb CO₂ from industrial emissions. By incorporating NiO into adsorbent materials, it may be possible to reduce the environmental impact of industrial processes, contributing to climate change mitigation.

Advanced Coatings:

Protective Coatings: Nickel oxide nanofibers can be used to develop protective coatings for various industrial applications, such as in corrosion resistance or high-temperature coatings. Their ability to withstand harsh conditions, combined with their catalytic and magnetic properties, makes them suitable for engine components, electronics, and aerospace materials.

Thermal Insulation: NiO nanofibers are also studied for use in thermal insulation applications due to their ability to resist heat and their low thermal conductivity.
